Microsoft Screws Quickbooks

Many of my customers have been reporting that after
installing a Windows Update from Microsoft, QuickBooks
does not open. The Loading QuickBooks splash screen
appears briefly or flashes on the screen, and then
disappears.
This issue is caused by a damaged component of Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. that was pushed onto Windows XP machines through the online windows update mechanism.
